BSc Thesis: Autotranscription.

Traditional musical transcription requires a trained ear and knowledge of musical notation. However, this work automates the sophisticated transcription process and converts monophonic audio data into a representation of musical notes. Use cases for this application range from supporting new musicians in learning the association between pitch of sounds and visual representation to upgrading a musician’s toolkit for transcription, composition and related creative activities.

As making music has always been my passion besides coding, this thesis project was the perfect opportunity to combine both worlds. I worked on this thesis project during my Bachelor’s studies in 2018.
